Important note regarding the copying of programmes
Aims / Objectives :
Aims:
To understand the impact that our actions have on the environment
To be able to make informed decisions on what measures they want to take to protect the environment.
Trigger :
Trigger: 15 minutes
Split into 3 groups.
Explain that they are now all founding members of new eco-friendly kibbutzim.
They must together decide how they are going to live their lives and with what resources. They will be given information on what they can buy in the ‘market’ (see attached) and must decide what they want to buy with the money they are given.
Main part of the programme :
Shopping and creating the kibbutz: 20-25 minutes
They will be given paper, pens, cardboard etc. and will create a miniature version of their kibbutz. Showing what they have bought and how they are using it
Conclusion :
Sikkum: 5-10 minutes
Each group will in turn show and explain their kibbutz giving their reasons for buying and using the resources and products.
