Aims / Objectives :
• As is traditional on Kadimah, football matches between different age groups and the madrichim on the second Shabbat of Kadimah.
• To make sure there are enough other activities going on at the same time – ensuring no one is left out or bored because all they are able to do is watch the football.
Trigger :
Main part of the programme :
Method:
There is a total of 1 hour 30 minutes allocated for this session. During this time, the following activities will be run:
Football
This is the main attraction and will involve around half of the camp at some point, hopefully more.
• 5-team league. Each camp has a team and there is a madrichim team.
• Each team plays each other team once.
• 10 minute games.
• 2 matches played at a time, the 5th team has a rest for that round.
• Total of 50 minutes football.
• 40 minutes to cover things like injury time and general faffing around.
• 7-a-side mixed teams.
• Rolling substitutions.
• Zero tolerance on competitiveness aimed at excluding anyone who wants to play from playing.
Meanwhile, the following activities are being led by madrichim not involved in the football. These are continuous sessions that the chanichim will be allowed to drift in and out of.
Circle Games
• An assortment of circle games that can be joined or left with relative ease
LNS prep
• Outside preparation for the last night show
Ultimate Frisbee
• Frisbee team game, or simply throwing a Frisbee around.
Song Session
• Sitting outside singing with guitars and shironim.
Sit and Chill
• Relax in the shade watching the football or other things going on.
Note: At any one time the chanichim should be in one of the above sessions.
