Aims / Objectives :
This will be a 50/50 style competition between 2 teams, consisting of many short games. There was a children’s TV programme a while ago called ‘50/50’. Each team would be made up of 50 children from the same school and they would each have a number. For each game a number would be drawn randomly (e.g. 17) and the player on each team with that number would have to represent their team in that particular challenge. Cops and robbers 50/50 for nechalim 2006 will have a law + order theme to it and will more closely represent the less well known ‘12/12’.
Trigger :
Trigger:
After dinner the chanichim will be split into two teams and be told to come back in minutes dressed in clothes suitable for their team. As they enter the room (actually preferably outside) they will be given a number. By now we should have Cops 1-12 and Robbers 1-12 (unless nechalim numbers change).
Main part of the programme :
Method:
For the following rounds a number is selected and the people who have that number in each team must compete against each other.
Round 1: Pickpocket
The key-stealing game. The cop sits blindfolded with a set of keys or something jangly in front of them. The robber must quietly creep up to them to steal the key without being detected. If the cop points and correctly guesses the location of the robber they win. If the robber gets the keys the robber wins
Round 2: Alibi
2 cops and 2 robbers. The cops interrogate the robbers about an imaginary crime that was committed and the robbers must give consistent answers. If they fail to do this cops win. If the robbers survive for 2 minutes they win.
Round 3: Caught in Possession
1 on 1 football! The robber must keep control of the ball for 30 seconds without being tackled to win the round.
Round 4: Riot Control
All the cops have to catch all the robbers within 30 seconds – within a defined area.
Round 5: The Line-Up
5 robbers, 1 cop. The robbers stand in a line shoulder to shoulder with their hands before their backs. They have an object (such an a small ball) between them and can freely pass it along the line without the cop being able to see where it is. The cop must guess where the ball is. If they guess correctly first time they win and get 3 points. If not, the person they guessed is removed from the line-up and the points available are now only 2 – and so on. Meanwhile, the robbers gain a point for each round they successfully survive.
Round 6: You have the right to remain silent
The cop must provoke some kind of a reaction from the robber within 30 seconds without touching them (basically the ‘try and make me laugh’ game)
(More rounds to be added)
Conclusion :
Sikkum: Finish when it’s time to start the next session and announce the winner.
