Important note regarding the copying of programmes

Aims / Objectives :
Aims

For chanichim to:
1. Know that TIKKUN OLAM means ‘repair of the world’
2. Understand concentric circles
3. Be able to critique themselves and the world around them
4. Understand that TIKKUN OLAM is something ULPSNYC – Netzer is committed to

Trigger :
Trigger

1. Give out coloured jigsaw pieces to get into groups

2. In groups, ask what TIKKUN OLAM means (‘repair the world’; making the world a better place)

3. Say that there are a lot of things that are wrong with the world

In groups write down on bits of paper
- bad things people do
- bad things about the world
- bad things about themselves

These will then be mixed in with some pre-written critiques

4. Introduce game board (concentric circles) and the different areas of the world that need repairing

Then as a group the chanichim must go through the bad things and position them on concentric circles according to whether they are things they must change about:

a) themselves
b) their communities
c) their societies
d) the Jewish people, or
e) the world
