Important note regarding the copying of programmes

Aims / Objectives :
Aims:
 To look at the importance of being active in our belief in Tikkun Olam.
 To make an informed decision about a issue/cause they want to focus on as an LJY Netzer social action project.

Trigger :
Trigger: 15 mins
 Divide group into 6 groups of 4
 Give each group one of Hillel’s questions:
If I am not for myself who is for me?
When I am for myself, what am I?
If not now, when? Hillel
• Each group must ask the Q to themselves , discuss what the question means and come up with an answer.
• They should write down the Q and A and present it back to the group in a discussion
• Sikkum discussion :We should in fact be in constant search of a balance between Tikkun Atzmi (self repair) and Tikkun Kehila /olam/am ( service to others). Each time we face a big decision we should be asking ourselves these Q’s.

Main part of the programme :
Meat: 40 mins
 Divide the group into 2/3 smaller groups and look at a number of different issues/causes for them to learn about and discuss.
 They need to look at each issue/cause and discuss the following questions:
1/ How does this cause reflect LJY Netzer ideology?
2/ Why choose this cause?
3/ what can we do to help?
 Come back together as a group and present what each group has discussed.

Conclusion :
Sikkum:
 Asepha – have an asepha to decide by voting which cause they want to choose.
 They should have a cause decided to start planning for!
