Aims / Objectives :
It's really fun and easy to do. it also draws people in so good for after the holidays to remind people your still amazing!

Trigger :
Skit

Alex enters the ‘Diary Room’
Alex: Hi big brother. I’ve gotta say I’ve had a really good week this week. But I’m really tired because it’s really hard to sleep with the monster in the next bed. Hanna snores so loudly its unbearable! I’ve tried everything. I even put a peg on her nose and filled her mouth with corn flakes! But she’s still keeping me up. So this week I am nominating Hanna.

Ben enters the ‘Diary Room’
Ben: Oh my gosh big brother I cannot wait to nominate Jess this week. She is always singing and she just cant. It is soo painful and I’m going to go mad. I don’t want to offend her but I just cant stand her any more.

David enters the ‘Diary Room’
David: Hi big brother. I cannot wait to see the back of Alex this week. She is always burping and blowing her burpy breath into peoples faces. She’s like a man. I just cant take it. Its disgusting and I cant stay in the house with her any longer!

Hanna enters the ‘Diary Room’
Hanna: Hello Big Brother! I want to nominate Ben this week because he is just so annoying. He keeps making these seriously bad jokes and he is the only one who is laughing. He’s not cool and he is not funny, its just a pain in the neck!

Jess enters the ‘Diary Room’
Jess: Hi big brother. This week I would like to nominate David because, every time I go to the toilet after him, he has used the last of the toilet roll and not put a new roll on. Then when I ask him to pass me another one he just laughs at me! This has happened twice in the last week and I am not happy. Thanx Big Brother.

Main part of the programme :
Big Brother was original hinted at in George Orwell’s ‘1984’. It is a fictional world controlled by Big Brother. The television programme consisted of 12 housemates being set various tasks on a weekly bases. They had to complete these tasks in order to gain money for food. They also faced nomination and a weekly public eviction.

ROOM 1
* What do you think of big brother?
* Do you think it is fair to treat people the way they are treated whilst in the house ( is it their fault for applying)
* Do you think people really act themselves whilst they are in the house?
* How would you act knowing that there are cameras watching your every move and the whole nation (including your mummy!) can see what you are up to.
* Do you think anyone cares about big brother and the winner after the series has ended?
* Would you ever vote in a reality TV show?
* Do you think other reality TV shows produce such as Pop Idol and Fame Academy expose real talent or real rubbish?
* Do you think reality talent shows give off the wrong message about the search for fame.
* Do you think their secret agenda may be to make people famous regardless of their talent
* Do you think the people who are clearly talent less are aware of this fact and just want the attention?
* Has reality TV reached its expiry date?
* Do you think reality TV will fade out any time soon?
* Suggest new ideas of a reality TV shows.
If there is time, get them to create a new reality TV show as a group.

ROOM 2
Get the group to create diary room entries to be filmed and shown at the end.
The group will compost the entries themselves. They can go into the ‘diary room’ alone or with people.
Here are some ideas to suggest to the group as to why they are talking to big brother.
* A housemate has used the butter then with the same knife used the marmite, then placed the same knife back in the butter, cross contaminating both delicious spreads.
* You have run out of mints and there is a housemate with seriously bad breath.
* A ginger housemate has used your hairbrush and there are lots of ginger hairs in it. They are denying it.
* You were in the hot tub and another housemate made a contribution to the bubble bath.
* Another housemate has been eating with their mouth open and you are really disgusted by this.

ROOM 101

8.15
Room 101 was also originally quoted in the ‘1984’. It is a chance for celebrities to join Stephen Fry and discuss what it is in and about the world that really annoys them! They then appeal to Stephen Fry to put all feet for example (YUK!) into room 101.

Can keep the group together or split them but do the same thing in each room.
* What would you put in room 101 and why? Don’t say it out loud, just get them to think about it.
* Select one person at a time to approach a va’adnik (Stephen Fry) and convince him/her to put their item into room 101.
* Now repeat the exercise using one of the following items:
Brushing Teeth
Wearing Shoes
Football
Soap
Goldfish
Lawn mowers
Hand bags
Microwave ovens
Stop watches
Felt tip pens
Deodorant
May need to think of more

Watch big brother diary room entries until end.

Conclusion :
SECUM
People aren't always who they appear to be. Just like in Big Brother, you may not know what someone is really thinking, and whether they would rather put you in room 101! (cheezy i know but it works!)

Wehehay fact for the day:
If you were to eat 15 bananas you would die because of an overdose of potassium!
