Important note regarding the copying of programmes

Aims / Objectives :
To teach a basic outline of the gography of Israel and through this to teach it's inherent holiness, as well as for older chanichim to show the importance

Trigger :
Set the scene: you are beggining on a long journmey. Two teams, one has paper aeroplanes and has to throw them to the other side of the room where the other team are standing throwing scrunched up balls back

Main part of the programme :
Make a virtual map of israel by setting up these 'locations' in approximately the right relative places
o Negev-search for water by searching in bucket of shredded paper for the blue shredded paper
o Eilat-X+Y game triggered by casino boat carries them outside for the game! Conga line there!
o Tel Aviv-Tour skit, walk and say: “Bauhaus, very very old, very very famous building of Tel Aviv, “Migdalie Azrieli, very very old, very very famous buildings of Tel Aviv” etc for Chof Yerushalayim, Mikes Place, Dolphinarium, Heichal Atzmaut. For Tower build a tower of cups in teams as competition.
o Galil-obstacle course
o Golan-Tell 2 ppl to stand as wheelbarrow “You are being a cow-did you know there are more cows than people in golan-there are also about 20,000 land mines” they have to crawl as cows over a blanket with the marble mines underneath
o Yam HaMelach / Mitzada-eat really salty foods. Also tell story of Mitzada but act out parts. Temple destroyed, three year siege. The leader Eliezer ben Yehuda commands all the Jews to make suicide rather than give in to Romans. Pad it out a bit! Dress the kids up to do drama
o Yerushalayim-Teach song Yiboneh Hamikdash
